Our program welcomes children of all races, creeds and colors in a fun-filled and enriching environment. Our mission is to help children grow socially, intellectually and physically as they prepare for Kindergarten and beyond. Additionally, it is our hope to foster a life-long love of learning and appreciation for the classroom experience

What is a Co-op
we believe that parents and family are every child's first teachers. Lemoore Preschool is geared toward parents who want to take an active role in their child's education from the very beginning.
A Co-op teaching environment provides parents a unique opportunity to be involved in the classroom by working a rotating schedule. Each day, two parents work with our licensed preschool teacher and teacher's aide. In a full class, each family must work a total of 6-12 days over the course of a school year.
In addition to working in the classroom, parents participate in parent meetings about 4 times a year, a variety of parent committees, fundraisers, and one Saturday Clean-up day.
This cooperative approach has so many benefits! It eases the youngster into the school experience and gives parents a chance to see what and how their child is learning. By being present in the classroom every few weeks, parents have an opportunity to get to know their child's teachers, fellow students, and other parents. Parent participation is so beneficial because it keeps the student to teacher ratio low (never higher than 6:1).
What do we mean by "faith based"?
Lemoore Preschool is open to any child and family regardless of religion or race. We hold Christian values and express God's love for all children through our teachers and our curriculum. It is our hope that children and parents from a broad spectrum of Christian traditions will feel comfortable at Lemoore Preschool, while we at the same time welcome families that may profess other religions. We strongly believe that the best place for the religious education is in the home and encourage parents to help their children learn about God as understood in their faith tradition. We urge you to be active as a family in the church of your choice.
Lemoore Preschool is owned by the Lemoore Presbyterian Church, a congregation of the Presbyterian Church, U.S.A.
Our Curriculum
Both programs will focus on the fundamentals of language, thinking, motor skills, communication, and sense of self and others.
Through group play and activities we will help each child grow and mature as well as foster a positive self-image which will prepare them for many more years of learning.
The above will be achieved through a positive class structure which includes Circle time, Learning Centers (art center, block center & discovery center), Snack time and Outdoor play. Our dynamic teaching staff will continue to provide creativity, variety, structure and fun every day in these areas. They will also plan and coordinate special events, field trips and holiday celebrations.
Four's Program
Our 4-year-old program will focus on Guided Learning which will prepare them for a formal classroom setting (Kindergarten). They will work on their cognitive skills (numbers, letters, basic reasoning and cause and affect), motor skills (holding a pencil or pair of scissors), increasing their attention span and following group instructions. These skill will be achieved through more structured classroom activities and organized play.
Three's Program
Our 3-year-old program is all about Self-Exploration & Socialization. elf-awareness, social interaction, sharing, following direction and becoming and acting as a group. Organized play and learning activities are the primary vehicles used in achieving these skills. |
